HQ for Classic Southern BBQ Franchise Company Assumes Ownership of Popular Clay County Restaurant
Jacksonville, Fl., September 21, 2021 – The co-founders of Woody’s Bar-B-Q – Woody Mills and Yolanda Mills-Mawman are proud to announce that they have acquired Woody’s Bar-B-Q of Green Cove Springs – located at 1301 N. Orange Ave. Corporate HQ already owns the original location of their classic Southern BBQ concept – located at 1638 University Boulevard in Jacksonville, Fl., as well as their designated corporate training location and full-service restaurant – situated at 226 Solana Road in Ponte Vedra Beach, Fl. It also holds the lease at Woody’s Bar-B-Q of Fernandina Beach – located at 474323 E. State Road 200. Whereas the original Jacksonville location maintains sentimental value, the Ponte Vedra Beach location trains incoming franchisees and the Fernandina Beach location is poised for sale, the Green Cove Springs location will serve as a test kitchen while continuing to perform as a full-service restaurant for its patrons.

For instance, right now, we’re wrapping up our Amigos Taco Trio at participating locations in our system. The patrons at Woody’s Bar-B-Q of Green Cove Springs would have been among the first people in Florida to try them. We think that’s a really cool designation for this location, and we’re looking to the good people of Clay County to help guide our menu offerings going forward.”
In its role as a full-service restaurant, Woody’s Bar-B-Q of Green Cove Springs will continue to honor its Kids Eat Free Mondays that have been such a hit with its loyal patrons and plans to introduce some new weekly specials to the mix.
